A Message from the President

With summer nearly here Habitat for Humanity of Mariposa County is gearing up to finalize plans for our second Habitat Home. Our Construction Committee led by Jackie Ferrebee will soon have a floor plan ready for approval. The plan will have components and a layout that will accommodate disabled persons. Later perhaps this summer if funds allow, we hope to have the foundation completed on the new site. The actual construction of this home in the town area of Mariposa will begin as soon as there are adequate funds available in the construction fund.

As exciting as all of this sounds, more volunteers are needed to fill a number of key positions on the Construction Committee. We are in real need of volunteers who can offer their experience and time in helping another family in Mariposa County to own their own home. I hope that this can be a strong motivation for someone who is looking for an opportunity to help others with a hand up. There are other committees who need help as well.
